Vent Session : Registering for Classes
Along with getting the financial portion situated, registering for classes is such a pain.
Currently I am getting my masters from Lehigh and taking a class at University of Alaska Fairbanks. But because I am a non-degree seeking student there I need to ask for permission to register for classes that have pre-requistes. So I have to send out emails. Then by the time I get the permission to register, the class is full. So then I have to figure out how to get added to the wait list. Then from there get registered to the class. But that's not even half of it. For my actual master's school, for some reason, even though I have to take the classes I am registering for, I do not meet the pre-requists. So I email the person in charge of the department who tells me to email the professors. One of the professors does not respond, so I email the other professor again, who then emails the same person who told me that they could not give me permission to GIVE ME PERMISSION. LIKE WHAT THE HECK. It is always difficult, nothing can be simple, and adds more stress to a day where I have 3 classes, 2 exams, work, laundry, dishes, making lunch and dinner, making my dogs raw meal, and then the gym. STRESS but hey! it beats not being able to go to school or not having food so I guess I can't complain too much?
Does anybody else just have class registering horror stories?
