I'm Already a Terrible Bloger-- but more importantly --> the Make -A-Wish Foundation

So when I started this blog I was intending to write a post every day with one or two off a week. Well, I got so busy that week that I literally couldn't find time to write a post.  As I am writing this I am thinking about how much work I have to do.  I am getting my masters, and next Tuesday I have 2 exams, I had a homework assignment due Thursday. I always have to watch two classes from Tuesday and Thursday but on this past Tuesday I had a 2.5 hour training to become a Make-a-Wish Foundation volunteer and then Wednesday and Thursday I had to work late. Yesterday I had a holiday bazaar for my Beachbody so I just kept getting everything pushed off.

But, the real importance of this post is the Make A Wish Foundation.
This foundation is a huge passion of mine.  Back in about '95, my brother (who has passed due to Cystic Fibrosis) got his wish granted to go to the Super Bowl and I got to go with him. That is always an amazing experience that we will have together. That is why I think it is so important for these sick children to get the amazing experience for their families, and for the families to have this lasting memory if unfortunately they lose their child or sibling.  So not only do I have personal ties to this charity, but I believe in their cause and what they do.

So I volunteer to be a wish granter, but there are also other ways to contribute.  People or a company can choose to adopt a wish, which is about $5000. Or you can adopt a ribbons and bows list which is a list you receive of gifts that will complete the child's wish.  These usually run about $50-$500.

I just want everyone to know about this charity, take a look, and maybe decide to help out in some way one day.  The goal is to make every child's wish come true, but that just isn't possible right now without more money and more volunteers.
