Different Supplements and Vitamins for Healthy Lifestyle and Training
Hey guys!
So I take a variety of vitamins and supplements to help lose fat, gain muscle, and overall be healthy. I am going to share those with you today. Maybe it will help someone decide what to take or just learn something new. Or maybe you are just curious what I take. If you have any questions just comment !
Morning:
Olly Balanced Belly- It is a pro and pre-biotic. I take this to help keep my gut microbiome normal. It helps your digestive system which contributes to your overall health. The pre-biotic basically feeds the good bacteria that the probiotic brings to your intestine/gut. They are peach flavored and taste absolutely amazing.
SuperHD by Cellucore (not pictured): I take one in the morning (sometimes 2) and your supposed to take it again in the afternoon but I always forget. This is to help burn fat. It increases your basal metabolic rate and basically increasing your internal body temp and burning calories and fat. If you haven't taken them before start with one. I always feel jittery the first one I take in a long time. I usually only take the one bottle supply and then stop for a while because it is not good for long term use.
Multi Vitamin: Right now I am just taking a generic, but once the bottle is gone I plan on switching to Olly because I love all of their vitamins. A multi is good for overall health and help you get your daily source of vitamins.
Pre Workout:
Since most of my workouts are cardio based or a mix of lifting with cardio, I do not like to take a typical pre workout because that is not intended for cardio use. I like to drink my Celsius or Bang energy drink that I've already blogged about.
Post Workout:
JYM Post workout: I use this for muscle recovery. It has a BCAAs, glutamine, creatine, L-carnitine and other ingredients mixed to all help muscle growth, strength, and recovery. I like this product and brand because instead of taking each one by itself, they are all in one. I have the lemonade flavor, it is tart but not bad.
JYM Protein: This has a mix of whey protein isolate, casein, milk isolate, and egg white. This mix of isolates and others is good because the isolates get absorbed right away from my energy and muscles but then some gets broken down slowly which helps for the meal replacement aspect. If you were looking to bulk and wanted all fast absorbing than I would suggest going with a protein that is pure isolate. I have the mint chocolate chip flavor and it is amazing!
Misc.
Olly Goodbye Stress: I'm not sure what to say about this one. It could be a placebo effect or it really works but it makes me feel a little happier when I take it and it tastes good. I take it when I have a lot of work to do.
Olly Sleep: If I work out in the afternoon, I cannot sleep at night so I take this and it makes me get a full nights sleep and I feel refreshed in the morning. If you have trouble sleeping I totally recommend this one.
CLA: I take after I eat to help reduce fat mass while increasing lean body mass. There is actually a lot of studies (compared to other products) on this one and its usefulness. I really like it and I think it helps when you are training.
Vitamin C: When I sense a cold coming I take some extra vitamin c to nip that in the bud!
Vitamin D: Here in Alaska we do not get much sun light if any at all in the winter. It truly can cause depression and just a terrible morale. I saw it effecting me a lot this winter so I got some vitamin D to help compensate for the lack of sunshine.
